Banking & Insurance Department
Banking & Insurance Department has incepted its journey under Faculty of Businesses Administration at University of Chittagong since, 2013. The department offers four – years BBA program, one year MBA program & others post graduate. Though this department is very new but constantly, its focuses on academic excellence and uncompromising standard for which it has earned reputation.
Now a days, Banking Industry is the largest & highly competitive in the world. Banking occupies one of the most important position in the modern economic world. It is necessary for trade and industry. There are 64 Banks in Bangladesh where 59 banks are scheduled and 5 banks are non-scheduled.
On the other hand, Insurance sector in Bangladesh is not so good because of lack of skilled & expertise resources. So, as a Banking & Insurance students we have huge opportunity to work in this sector as an analysts, researchers & many others if we have gathered skills, expertise & knowledge about insurance.
This program in Banking & Insurance is developed as per the needs of the finance industry where students acquire & gather knowledge about banking operations, regulations, moneytary auditing, selling of financial products & services. This department is also provides trained at Banking institutions & Insurance companies and others financial industry during course Internship.
The purposes of the Department of Banking & Insurance is to develop skilled human resources with specialized education and practical training particularly in Banking & Insurance industry and also Financial services. This department is useful for everyone who is aspiring to make a career in Banking, Insurance, and other Financial services.
